BSNL Launches High Speed WiMAX Broadband Service in Assam
India’s National telecom backbone and state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) launches WiMAX the 4th Generation Wireless Broadband Service in the north eastern state of Assam with speed up to 7 Mbps to empowered the rural parts of North Eastern India with High Speed Super Fast Internet.
Union minister of state for communications and technology Sachin Pilot launched the BSNL WiMax at Chaygaon in Kamrup district of Assam to provide high-speed connectivity in the rural areas. Through this BSNL will usher in a new era of growth in rural areas of North East. This technology offers broadband speed of 7 mbps at a distance of 15 kms.
