Girls once again outshone boys in this year’s Grade X and XII Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations.

CBSE Class X results: Girls outdo boys

NEW DELHI: Over 87 per cent candidates on Thursday cleared the CBSE tenth class examination with girls again outdoing the boys.

“Like the last year, Girls did better than boys. Pass percentage of girls is 87.96 per cent compared to that of boys which is 86.46 per cent,” Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Chairman Ashok Ganguly said at a crowded press conference. (more…)

CBSE syllabi for Classes 11 and 12 under Bihar board

New Delhi: (IANS) Thousands of schools under the Bihar education board will follow the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum in Classes 11 and 12 from the new academic session as a step to improve education standards in the state. The Bihar education department has already signed an agreement with the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) that is responsible for developing the CBSE courses. (more…)
