Sixth Central Pay Commission: Delhi cabinet accepts better pay for power employees

New Delhi, Sep 22 (PTI) The Delhi Cabinet today approved enhanced pay package for around 4,000 employees of government power companies.

The Cabinet accepted the recommendations of a wage revision committee that suggested slightly better pay package for the power companies than the recommendations of the sixth Central Pay Commission, officials said. (more…)

Yielding no more than a Performance Related Incentive Scheme (PRIS) for the protesting IIT faculty, Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal on Tuesday expressed his disapproval for the method and modes of protest being used by the faculty fora to protest against the revised pay notification issued for centrally funded institutions like IITs and IIMs last week. Here’s a piece of good news for the applicants of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) housing scheme. The two websites that were displaying the results of the draw are now opening. Sixth Pay Commission pay out: Govt needs extra funds, to borrow Rs 10k cr more in H1

The government on Tuesday decided to borrow Rs 10,000 crore more than what it had planned for in the first half of 2008-09. Despite fulfilling its borrowing requirement for the first half of the fiscal, the finance ministry has now decided to advance its borrowing programme for the second half by scheduling issuance of dated securities worth Rs 10,000 crore in the month of September itself.
